As part of activities for the just ended tour of Greater Accra Region by H.E John Dramani Mahama, A courtesy call was made to the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs on Monday, 11th March, 2024.
At the function which brought together prominent traditional rulers in the Region and party functionaries, the meeting place and the entire premises of the House of Chiefs suffered its share of the electric power outrage experienced in many parts of the country in recent times.
Consequently, the Vice President of the House of Chiefs Prof.King Dr. Odaifio Welentsi III, on behalf of the traditional leaders made a request to H.E John Mahama to support the House of Chiefs with a generator set to provide power to the Regional House of Chiefs during the power outages.
On Thursday, 14th March, 2024, Vice Chairman of the NDC, Prof. Joshua Alabi, in the company of Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Hon. Ashie Moore and Deputy Minority Whip, Hon. Comfort Doyoe presented a brand new power plant on behalf of H.E John Mahama to the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs in fulfillment of their request.
In attendance were Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo (MP-Shai Osudoku), Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey (MP- Krowor), Hon. Theresa Awuni (MP- Okaikoi North), Greater Accra Constituency Chairmen Caucus represented by Chairmen Rev. Dr. Ben Kwame Danso (Krowor), Isaac K. Kportsu (Shai Osudoku), Sewornu Enoch Teye (Sege), Solomon Amoo (Ablekuma Central), Moses K. K. Ocansey (Domeabra Obom), Manaf Walker (Ayawaso North), Mohammed Rami (Ayawaso East), Yusif Inusah (Okaikoi South) and Otu Hesse (Ayawaso Central).
