Desist from commenting on poison allegations – John Kumah’s family to spokespersons

The family of the late Ejisu legislator and Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr John Ampotuah Kumah, has advised spokespersons for the lawmaker and other close allies to refrain from commenting on any unfounded allegation relating to his death.

Allegation of the late MP having been poisoned has been rife since his death was announced.

The family of the deceased has expressed worry over the development, thus has asked friends of the late MP to avoid making unverified claims until an official autopsy report is released.

“Speculations here and there but as it stands now, the family has no position. We will wait until the autopsy report is ready and we will know what led to death of our dear brother. So, for now what I can say is that let us ignore everything in the air and wait until the family itself comes out and communicate as to the cause of death.

People can speculate but, then we shouldn’t forget that he is from a family. The family is grieving. So, if you go out there and say all manner of things, consider the family internet first, put the wife, put the children put the father just take yourself…that if you are the mother is that how you would want people to go about spreading rumours about the death of your son?” MP for Kumawu, Ernest Yaw Anim, who is also a member of John Kumah’s family said.

JOHN KUMAH’S MUM DEMANDS AUTOPSY TO ADDRESS POISON RUMOURS

Videos of renowned presenters alleging that Dr John Kumah was poisoned have gone viral. This has deepened the speculations.

In one of the videos sighted by 3news.com the presenter said, “Somebody brought a roasted Guinea fowl and later diehuo to Chairman Wontumi and John Kumah to eat and that was when the issue started…the medical team of the Vice President suspected food poisoning and treated them. John Kumah has not looked okay since the incident, this is why I think John Kumah was killed.”
