Medeama SC and Al Nasr SC Establish Collaborative Agreement

Medeama Sporting Club and Al Nasr Sports Club have officially inked a “collaborative agreement,” marking a significant step for the Ghanaian champions in their quest to broaden their international presence.

As participants in the 2023-24 CAF Champions League, Medeama SC has become the first Ghanaian club in recent memory to formally initiate a partnership with an Emirati club, solidifying their commitment to global expansion.

The collaborative pact with the Arab club encompasses technical and sports cooperation, with the overarching goal of extending the international reach of both clubs and creating new global opportunities for mutual growth.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) outlines terms that aim to facilitate the exchange of best practices between the two clubs. The partnership includes sharing technical knowledge among senior and youth teams, enhancing the capabilities of administrators, exploring sponsorship opportunities, facilitating visits by technical staff and football management experts, and addressing any other matters deemed crucial for the advancement of the shared interests of both parties.

The formalization of this agreement saw Medeama president Moses Armah sign on behalf of the Ghanaian giants, while Al Nasr chairman Abdulla Bin Touq represented the Emirati side. Top officials from both clubs served as witnesses to the collaborative pact.

To kick off this partnership, Medeama hosted a one-day training camp at the Al Nasr facility on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, just before the team’s departure to Algeria for their final CAF Champions League group stage match against CR Belouizdad.
