The autocratic chief of Kotwi has been destool by the head of family over gross of disrespect.
It has been a joy all over the Kotwi town suburb of Ashanti Region in which the said Nana Asare Asiedu Kotwi was destool base on disrespect to its kingmakers which was lead what happened to its destoolment.
Addressing the media on what led to the Kotwi chief destoolment the Executive Director for corruption combat international, Nana Kwadwo Amoah Ampem Okogyeabour stated that the destoolment was an order from Otumfour Osei Tutu on grounds of violating and demolishing a fence wall on the secret forest which is a symbol of their forefathers to avoid encroachment.
According to him, the chief turns into death hearing and going ahead to demolished the wall twice which was put up by the Kotwi head of family and chief refuted to listen the directives of Otumfour Osei Tutu just because he felt he should be the one Otumfour Osei Tutu must give powers to him to protect and save guards its property.
Upon history it is clear that in Kotwi is only the head of family who is mandated to supersedes the entire community lands vested in his as enshrined to custom and practices of Ashanti kingdom.
Nana Ampem Okogyeabour emphasis that in the coming days won’t contain autocratic chiefs who kept disrespecting the wrath of His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu shall faces dethronement on their stools.
He mentioned that in Ashanti kingdom no one can show gross of disrespect to Golden Stool and goes scort free.
