No Parliamentary Candidate On The Ticket Of Npp In Western North Can Save The NPP Party – The Case Of Festus Bumagama Agyapong Of Sefwi Wiawso Constituency

I wish to on behalf of the National Democratic Congress – Western North, congratulate the NPP for emulating the NDC by completing their parliamentary election across the region. Though the process was not devoid of cash inducement, they still deserve some commendation for consolidating our democracy which has stood the test of time since its introduction by the NDC.

Interestingly, the NPP party seem to be reinvigorated by the election of their parliamentary candidates in the region. This is indeed surprising and laughable. It is instructive to know that at least two of the candidates are very much known for their incompetence, arrogance and being contributors of our woes as a country particular of us in the Western North region. To be blunt the Honorables Alex Tetteh and Alfred Obeng Boateng are well known and needs no further elucidation about their ineptitude.

For the purpose of this piece my focus will be on Sefwi Wiawso Constituency which has my brother and friend, Festus Bumagama Agyapong as the NPP candidate.

Prior to the election of Festus the NPP touted him to be the Messiah who by extension and implication will deliver the people of Sefwi Wiawso. This I find interesting because the very constituency for which he is coming to save is under the superintendence of both an NPP MP and MCE.

Does this proposition suggest these duo have failed? If not why then will they require a Messiah from same party to save us? Anyway this I believe should be the problem of the NPP to solve and not ours to even proffer solution.

It is imperative to note that Festus Bumagama Agyapong has been a member of the NPP which qualified him to contest as a parliamentary candidate. By this revelation it is also right to suggest that he has not been seen incongruous with the ideals, policies and programs of the Nana Addo – Bawumia government which have left the people of Western North living penurious lives, particularly the people of Sefwi Wiawso.

In fact Festus Agyapong has been in full support of the sale of fertilizer to farmers, increase in fuel prices, e-levy, covid levy, communication service tax increment, vat increment and the likes which have made life extremely difficult for the Ghanaian particular those of the Western North which include Sefwi Wiawso which he seeks to lead.

For Festus to epitomize that he indeed is for the people he must first openly declare he has not been in support of the draconian economic policies which have impoverished and detonated the lives of the people of Sefwi Wiawso. He indeed can’t purge himself of the wrongdoings meted out to the people.

In view of this glaring act, I posit without any equivocation that Festus Bumagama Agyapong will only add to the woes of the people if we dare make a mistake by voting for him.

I humbly employ the good people of Sefwi Wiawso to reject NPP in its entirety and have believe in Kofi Afful Benteh to be the Messiah that the NPP has been calling for.

A vote for both President Mahama and Kofi Afful Benteh will ensure the acceleration of development Sefwi Wiawso desires.

Long live Sefwi Wiawso!
Long live Western North Region!
