Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo Takes Immediate Action to Illuminate Gbledi Gborgame Streets, Ensuring Safety and Security for Residents

In a remarkable display of leadership and dedication, Mamagă Sambia III, The Mamaga of Gbledi Traditional Council, and Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo, the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), have successfully addressed a critical issue affecting the residents of Gbledi Gborgame. The community had been grappling with the absence of functional streetlights for the past three years, posing serious risks to public safety, particularly for students commuting to and from Afadjato Senior High School.

The situation prompted Mamagă Sambia III and Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo to take matters into their own hands, recognizing the core responsibility of the government in ensuring the well-being of its citizens. Despite the government levying street lighting fees on domestic electricity users, the people of Gbledi had been left in the dark, quite literally, as nightfall descended upon their community.

In a statement, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo expressed his commitment to the welfare of the constituents, emphasizing that the intervention was funded not from taxes or the MPs Common Fund but from their personal resources. The initiative involved the repair and replacement of street bulbs and cables that had been damaged, ultimately brightening the once dimly lit streets.

“We have brightened the streets. We have changed most of the street bulbs and cables that were destroyed. I’m happy the people of Gbledi are safe at night on their streets,” said Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo.

The swift action taken by Mamagă Sambia III and Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo addresses the pressing need for attention to infrastructure and public safety in the constituency. They have not only fulfilled an immediate need but have set a precedent for responsible and responsive governance.

Furthermore, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo assured the residents that similar interventions would be extended to other communities within the constituency facing similar challenges. The commitment to using personal funds for community development projects showcases a level of dedication that resonates with the constituents, setting a positive example for responsible leadership.

As the parliamentary candidate for the NDC, Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo believes that such proactive and community-driven initiatives are essential for the progress of the constituency. He emphasized that HOHOE deserves an MP who remains engaged with the community throughout their term, addressing the needs of the people and contributing to the overall development of the constituency.

With the successful illumination of Gbledi Gborgame streets, it is evident that Mamagă Sambia III and Efo Worlanyo Tsekpo are actively working towards propelling HOHOE to the “Next Level,” as promised by the NDC parliamentary candidate. Their dedication to the safety and well-being of the community sets a positive tone for the upcoming elections, showcasing a commitment to serving the people with integrity and diligence.
