The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has instructed customers using the CLOU prepayment Metering System’s server to purchase sufficient credit to cover their electricity usage from January 25 to 26. This directive is in response to the ECG’s planned maintenance works on the CLOU Prepayment Metering System’s server.
A notice to customers, as reported by masemtvgh.com, stated, “The Electricity Company of Ghana will undertake emergency maintenance works on the CLOU Prepayment Metering System’s server…All CLOU prepaid customers are therefore being advised to purchase enough credit that will last for the period of the downtime.”
The ECG expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to affected customers due to the maintenance activities. The announcement coincides with customer complaints across various regions about irregular power supply affecting business operations. Despite officials denying the return of ‘Dumsor,’ the intermittent power situation appears to persist.
