Tano North NPP Primaries Is a Struggle Between Deceptive and Property-Grabbing Figures- Yaw Ansah

The upcoming NPP primaries in Tano North have stirred significant controversy, with the political landscape marred by allegations of deceit and property grabbing. As the constituency braces for a showdown between rival factions, the underlying narrative has shifted from policy issues to the personal characters of the contenders.

On one side of the divide is a camp accused of deception, led by Hon. Freda Prempeh , who has faced criticism for inconsistencies in promises and campaign messaging. Constituents of Tano North, argue that promises made during her current campaign trail and that of the previous ones lacks merit and clarity and are susceptible to change, leaving voters uncertain about the actual agenda.

In contrast, the opposing faction, led by Dr. Gideon Boako, the economic advisor to the vice president, H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is being labeled as a group associated with property grabbing. Allegations of unethical acquisition of some questionable of properties and assets have circulated, causing concern among voters about the potential impact on the community if Mr. Gideon Boako were to secure the party ticket.

The struggle for supremacy within the NPP in Tano North has shifted focus away from policy debates to a battle of character and integrity. The electorate is faced with the challenging task of discerning between the allegations of deception and property grabbing, both of which can significantly impact the constituency’s future.

Local party leaders have expressed concerns about the potential negative consequences of a divisive primary campaign. The party’s unity and cohesion may be at risk if the focus remains on personal attacks rather than constructive policy discussions that address the needs of the constituency.

As voters weigh their options, they are urged to scrutinize the candidates’ track records, past performances, and their commitment to the party’s principles. The electorate’s decision in the primaries will not only determine the NPP’s representative in Tano North but will also shape the party’s image and influence its standing in future elections.

In the midst of the controversy, it is crucial for the party leadership and members to foster an environment that encourages healthy debate and transparent communication. A fair and just electoral process will contribute to rebuilding trust among the electorate and ensure that the chosen candidate truly represents the aspirations of the people.

As the NPP primaries approach, the residents of Tano North find themselves at a crossroads, navigating through a political landscape fraught with allegations of deception and property grabbing. The outcome of this internal battle will undoubtedly reverberate through the broader political spectrum, impacting the party’s standing and the future trajectory of Tano North.

This is an inside report from both camps and I come in peace.

Signed.
