Kumasi Embraces the 24-Hour Economy: John Mahama Expresses Gratitude for Overwhelming Support

In a remarkable show of unity and enthusiasm, the people of Kumasi and the entire Ashanti Region turned out in force to participate in the 24-hour economy sensitisation walk led by former President John Mahama. The event, held today, witnessed an unprecedented level of support from various segments of the community, including shop owners, traders, motorists, passers-by, and residents.

Former President Mahama expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kumasi for their overwhelming support and active participation in the sensitisation walk. The massive turnout demonstrated a shared commitment to embracing policies that promote economic growth and create a conducive environment for businesses to flourish.

“I am overwhelmed by your support and participation in the 24-hour economy sensitisation walk that took place today. It was a massive turnout, and the enthusiasm from everyone – shop owners, traders, motorists, passers-by, and residents – has warmed my heart,” said John Mahama, visibly moved by the community’s response.

The former president took the opportunity to reassure the citizens that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is dedicated to implementing policies that prioritize the best interests of all Ghanaians. The 24-hour economy initiative, in particular, aims to foster inclusive economic growth and provide an environment where businesses can thrive.

“Today’s event is a testament to the unity and commitment of the people of Kumasi and the Ashanti Region. I am humbled by your unwavering support, and I want to reassure everyone that the National Democratic Congress has the best interests of all Ghanaians at heart,” Mahama emphasized.

The 24-hour economy initiative is part of the NDC’s broader vision for the nation’s economic development. It seeks to create opportunities for businesses to operate around the clock, ultimately boosting productivity and providing employment opportunities for the citizens.

As the sensitisation walk concluded successfully, the positive energy and collective determination displayed by the people of Kumasi send a strong message about their readiness to embrace progressive policies for the betterment of the entire nation. Former President John Mahama’s gratitude echoed the sentiment of a community united in its pursuit of inclusive economic growth and prosperity.
