Nana Amponsah Dokua III, the Queen Mother of the Osudoku Traditional Area, is considering organizing a collective boycott of the 2024 elections if the longstanding issue of inadequate infrastructure, particularly the poorly maintained roads, remains unaddressed.
Expressing her dissatisfaction, Nana Amponsah Dokua III highlighted the absence of development despite years of voting, specifically pointing out the failure of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to bring about the necessary progress in the Osudoku area.
“Shai Osudoku is facing a deep sense of discontent, with traditional leaders and residents on the verge of frustration. Despite consistently supporting the National Democratic Congress since 1992, the area has yet to witness significant development. The dire state of roads in the Osudoku traditional area is a glaring concern, as there isn’t a single paved road. We issue a warning that if urgent measures are not taken, residents may opt for non-participation in the upcoming elections or may resist the entry of any ballot boxes into the region.”
