Legendary Highlife musician, Kojo Antwi has vowed never to perform at the National Theatre again.
Years back, the National Theatre was Kojo Antwi’s main venue for his popular December 24 concert.
But speaking in an exclusive interview with Nana Adwoa Annan of Onua TV, the legendary Highlife musician announced his decision to permanently retire from performing at the iconic venue
According to the ‘’Afafranto’’ hitmaker the National Theatre, once a perfect fit for his early career, no longer aligns with his artistic aspirations.
“The place has fallen short of a theatre…maintaining the place has become difficult for those who are handling the theatre… I as an artiste am… I realised that the place wasn’t helping me. An artiste doesn’t belong to a hall that the place has become”
He reminisced about the intimate charm of the National Theatre in his early days but emphasized that his evolution as a performer necessitated a grander platform.
