Irrespective of lack of cooperation from Majority Caucus, the Christmas Tree Bootlicker and his ilks describe OSP as incompetent – Sir-Obama jabs Paul Adom Otchere

Sir-Obama Pokuase, one of the very active social media persons for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has called out his colleague, Paul Adom Otchere.

Sir-Obama Pokuase, in his recent writeup, urged Paul Adom Otchere, the host of Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV and the Board Chairman of Ghana Airport Company Limited to desist from his continuous unmerited attacks on the Special Prosecutor and allow him to operate.

In that writeup, NPP Sir-Obama Pokuase said ”Paul Adom Otchere is fighting those who are mandated constitutionally to fight corruption” and subsequently attributed Paul Adom Otchere’s actions to what he described as ”anwamo”

”It is sickening to note that ever since Cecilia Dapaah gave you ”anwamo” (as disclosed by you on TV), you have crescendoed your attacks on the Special Prosecutor at the very least occasion” he said.

WHY IS PARLIAMENT SHIELDING PROMINENT BUSINESSMAN WHO ATTEMPTED BRIBING MPs?

By: Sir-Obama Pokuase

I just finished reading the report of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) in respect of investigation into allegations of attempted bribery of the Majority Caucus, and l am deeply sad for this country as far the fight against corruption is concerned.

It would be recalled that some eighty (80) NPP MPs in September, 2022 held a press conference in Parliament and demanded the resignation or dismissal of Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

A day after that historic presser, spokesman of the group, Asante Akim North MP Hon. Andy Appiah-Kubi, during an interview with some radio stations alleged amongst others that a prominent Ghanaian businessman ambushed them in Parliament for a meeting, and attempted to bribe them [Majority Caucus] with fat envelopes to stand down their demands.

In fact, Appiah-kubi’s allegations were corroborated by other MPs in separate media interviews. Alarmed by the revelations, OccupyGhana filed a petition at the OSP calling for a probe into the matter, and bring to book the said businessman.

It is therefore shocking why Appiah-kubi and his colleagues who championed this bribery allegations have all refused to make any statement to the OSP during interrogations.

From the OSP Report, Hon. Appiah-kubi even refused to answer questions when his own interview [tape] was played back to him during the interrogation — arguing he has the right to remain silent. To note that the Majority Leader also denied any knowledge of the said bribery allegation makes me sadder the more.

Anyway, carefully reading the OSP Report, it is obvious the said businessman has been unmasked, albeit concealment of his name. As indicated in the report, he was also arrested and interrogated, but denied bribing any MP(s).

Fundamentally, without any witnesses or confirmation from the MPs who initially alleged an attempt to bribe, how can the OSP prosecute anyone?

This dramatic turn of event begs the question our preparedness to fight the social canker of corruption; especially where the most elite — Members of Parliament — who are supposed to play the foremost role of whistleblowers prefer shielding corrupt people.

What gets me madder is the fact that, in the face of all this drama, The Christmas Tree Bootlicker and his ilks would want Ghanaians to believe that the OSP is “incompetent” when clearly the alleged corrupt persons they defend find a way to shortchange Ghanaians.
Posterity will judge us all!

A wise man once said, “Country broke, country no broke, we all dey inside!”

Assalamu alaikum.
