Election monetization has the potential to undermine democracy – Apostle Nyamekye

Parliament under the auspices of the Speaker of Parliament, the Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin held the 2023 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.

In attendance was His Excellency the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,the Chief Justice Her Ladyship,Gertrude Araba Esaaba Sackey Torkornoo.

The event also saw Leadership of both the Majority and Minority caucus in attendance. Present on the night were MP’s, the Clerk to Parliament and his deputies, Staff of the Parliamentary Service, Clergymen and a host of choirs who spiced the night with their melodious songs.

Delivering the sermon, the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye admonished Ghanaians to live in peace and harmony.

He also cautioned Ghanaians to be worry of the monetization of elections in the country, as it can serve as a catalyst to destroy the democracy that we are enjoying as a country.
