December salaries will be paid to Parliamentary Service Officers following the Christmas break

The Director of Finance of Parliament, Daniel T. Chirawura, has indicated that salaries for parliamentary service officers in December may not be disbursed before the Christmas Holidays. In a statement released on Wednesday, December 20, Mr. Chirawura clarified that the service has not yet received the Notification of Transfer of Salaries for December 2023.

Nevertheless, he assured that the parliamentary service has made the necessary financial arrangements to provide support to officers during the Christmas holidays. The support is expected to be accessible to officers before the House rises on December 22, 2023. Mr. Chirawura expressed gratitude to officers for their patience and understanding in this matter.
