In a decisive conclusion to a lengthy legal battle spanning three years, an Accra court handed down a verdict today, declaring Asamoah Gyan as the father of Gifty Gyan’s three children.
As part of the court’s ruling, former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has been ordered to provide Gifty Gyan with a monthly stipend of 25,000 Ghana cedis to support the upbringing of their three children. Notably, this financial assistance covers their general upkeep, with exceptions made for expenses such as school fees, medical and dental care, flight tickets, and other child-related costs.
Furthermore, as part of the judgment, Gifty Gyan has been awarded ownership of Asamoah Gyan’s mansion located in the United Kingdom. In addition to the UK property, she will also receive a four-bedroom house situated in Spintex.
In terms of vehicles, the court ruled that Gifty Gyan is entitled to Asamoah Gyan’s BMW, along with an Infiniti vehicle.
Not stopping at property and vehicles, the court has also granted Gifty Gyan ownership of a parcel of land owned by Asamoah Gyan, which had been earmarked for the construction of a filling station.
This legal verdict marks a significant development in a protracted legal battle between the two parties and brings a measure of closure to the longstanding dispute over the paternity and related financial matters concerning the children.
