Gideon Cheremeh-Amoah, a member of the communication team of the New Patriotic Party in the Bono region has vowed that team Kennedy Agyapong would never accept the results of the November 4 Presidential primaries if the process is manipulated and fraudulent.
Sounding caution to the supporters of the other aspirants, Cheremeh-Amoah popularly called Sir Amoah who is a member of Kennedy Agyapong’s campaign team in the Bono region said, “NPP is the party we truly love, but some individuals have accrued enough wealth to sustain them even if the party go to opposition so we won’t sit aloof and allow such individuals to destroy the party for us. We want to assure them that we (Team Kennedy Agyapong) will not withdraw from the race but November 4 we will face them head on. If they intimidate us, we will intimidate them too.”
He bemoaned the level of intimidation in the party’s super delegates conference held on Saturday August 26, 2023.
Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, one of the flagbearer hopefuls of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has withdrawn from the race. He made the announcement in a statement dated September 5, 2023.
Commenting on the withdrawal of Hon Alan Kyeremanteng from the party’s November 4 Presidential primaries on Sompa Ade Akyea Abiaa show in Sunyani with Nana Kwame Owusu Nkwantabisa, the irate NPP member indicated that, the election process was full of intimidation in favour of the Vice President.
Sir Amoah, said, Mr Alan Kyeremanteng was humiliated by being asked to make way for the Vice President when he (Alan) was addressing a mammoth crowd during a campaign at Assin in the Assin North By election.
He also recounted the series of intimidation meted out to the representatives of Hon Alan Kyeremanteng and Hon Kennedy Agyapong at the voting centres during the super delegates’ conference.
