You have captured lots of contracts to make money and now has a false presidential ambition – Abronye bites Sammi Awuku

The Bono Regional Chairman for the ruling New Patriotic Party seems to take a sharp swap on the Chief Executive Officer of National Lotteries Authority, Mr Sammi Awuku.

The Bono NPP Regional Chairman, Mr Kwame Baffoe Abronye on Thursday, 31st August, 2023 on an evening political program dubbed ”Hot boiling point’ on Oman 107.1 Fm in Accra made series of allegations which ostensibly pointed out to Mr Sammi Awuku.

There have been series of reactions on social media attributing the comments by the Bono NPP Regional Chairman to the immediate National Organizer of the NPP.

In a viral video, the Bono NPP Regional chairman who seemed visibly unhappy about the mass suffering of their grassroots alleged that jobs which were meant for polling station women organizers have been taken over by someone who is a campaign manager of one of the presidential aspirants.

“There’s a particular campaign manager/coordinator of one of the presidential aspirants whose wife has taken all cleaning contracts in Government Agencies within Greater Accra region while some women organizers who have suffered for this party (NPP) are struggling to make ends meet. Such campaign managers should be shown red cards.
The grassroots must reject the candidate of such coordinators. I will destroy things” Abronye stated.

The maverick Regional Chairman, who was shocked on the behavior of coordinators for some presidential aspirants admonished the grassroots and the delegates to call for their credibility and what benefits they,the grassroots have gained from them should these campaign coordinators come to them to solicit their votes for their presidential candidate.

”The credibility of these coordinators must be asked because they have no credibility. Whoever want to win in this presidential race must have a coordinator who has credibility which is very important.

He added that, “in a certain presidential aspirant’s camp, it is more or less a presidential aspirant within a presidential aspirant.

”You have captured lots of contracts in government to make huge money and now you have a false presidential ambition” Abronye stated.

According to social media users, this particular statement was a direct attack on Sammi Awuku which has resulted in a word of war between supporters of Sammi Awuku and that of Abronye with supporters of Sammi Awuku calling for the head of the Bono NPP Regional Chairman – Kwame Baffoe Abronye.
