The Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of the Bono Regional chapter, under the able leadership of Hon Hajia Fati Abubakar, the Regional Women’s Organizer, attended a thanksgiving service in honor of our female Parliamentary candidate for the Dormaa East constituency, Ms. Racheal Owusuaa.
The event was an interesting and a colorful ceremony marked in the presence of the supporters and sympathisers of our party, especially our hardworking women of the constituency.
The women’s wing also seized the opportunity to pay a courtesy call on his Royal Majesty, the Dormaa Hene, Osagyfo Agyeman Badu II to introduce the female candidate to him and his subjects.
His Royal Majesty welcomed us to his beautiful palace by congratulating the female candidate for her victory in the just ended parliamentary primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He praised her for her courage and determination and asked her to be focused in her quest to capture the Dormaa East seat in the upcoming general election in 2024.
He added that, Ghana needs more women in all spheres of life, especially in governance to change the fortunes of the people. According to His Royal Majesty, Osagyefo Agyemang Badu II, a lot of young women will draw inspiration from Hon. Racheal Owusuaa.
On behalf of our female parliamentary candidate, our hard working women wing and our party, we thanked his Majesty for his time and reception. He is indeed, a father, a leader and role model.
