Now, Ghanaians will understand why Mr. Yaw Osafo Marfo once said, “jailing Aisha Huang would not solve our economic problems” – Dr. Solomon Owusu

According to Dr. Solomon Owusu, Ghanaians will understand why Mr. Yaw Osafo Marfo once said, “jailing Aisha Huang would not solve our economic problems”

Mr. Osafo Marfo made that comment in April, 2019 (4 years ago). Let all Ghanaians juxtapose that response with Prez Akufo Addo’s recent comment and check if Osafo Marfo spoke based on the decision of the entire government or not.

China has already taken over our mineral resources that’s why they are polluting our waterbodies and degrading our lands with impunity. Why should we jail a Ghanaian for committing illegal mining offence but we leave the Chinese guys to go unpunished for committing the same offence? Does it make sense?

Ghanaians are sitting on trillions worth of mineral resources but our leaders can’t put them into good use and make money from them. All because this NPP government in particular, led by Prez Akufo Addo is interested in borrowing, instead of thinking through to utilize our natural resources to benefit all Ghanaians.
