IGP in Kumawu to assess security preparedness ahead of by-election

Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), is currently at Kumawu in the Ashanti Region to check in on the police deployment there as well as assess security readiness before the Tuesday elections.

On Saturday, May 20, he made his way to the region.

Senior police personnel, including the IGP, have been strolling through the town’s streets.

As part of a security tour in advance of the impending by-election, they have been talking with residents, police officers, and drivers.
