Bawumia has credibility crisis to battle with as NPP flagbearer – Tano North NDC Secretary

The Tano North Secretary for the National Democratic Congress in the Ahafo Region, Mr Yaw Ansah has discounted the impact of vice president Dr Bawumia on the election fortunes of the NDC should he, Dr Bawumia lead the NPP into the 2024 general elections.

Mr Yaw Ansah in his write up, adumbrated a number of failed promises made by Dr Bawumia prior to his assumption into government as the vice president. Mr Yaw Ansah, without any iota of doubt, stressed that these several failed promises are still fresh in the minds of Ghanaians who cannot easily trust Dr Bawumia as someone with credibility to lead the country as president.

Kindly read the full write up below;

Today’s politics has been very interesting, given it a clear view from our main opponent perspective. The recent happenings in the NPP between pocket filled Bawumia camp and power hungry Alan Kyeremanteng camp has ballooned the fire within the NPP thereby making great division within them.

The abuse of power and monetization by the camp of Bawumia as a ploy to buy all influential people to his camp has also created bitterness amongst some great party grassroots party people in the NPP and intelligence gathered show that if team Bawumia doesn’t stop the bully they will fiercely be sabotaged which is a great advantage going into election 2024.

Interestingly, should Bawumia’s camp succeed with their abuse of power to see themselves through, we in the NDC, will go for Thanksgiving service for his winning of the presidential primaries because NDC will have no reason to do serious and aggressive campaign.

As the head of the economic management team, who prior to their win in the 2016 general elections promised to arrest the dollar and hand over the keys to the IGP and ensure a single digit inflation throughout their reign, has regrettably and shockingly been arrested and jailed by the dollar and inflation is now through its weight around, having dinners and parties over its victory of the perceived “Economic Messiah”

Are you not still is a state of shock that, the promise he made to move the economy from taxation to production has now swallowed him, and we now experience taxation to over taxations? As a citizen and political person, I sometimes wonder whether his economic ideas he used as campaign message some few years ago, were handouts his lecturers used to teach him in his P.hD in economics but not practical economics.

Come to think of it, why will I waste so much energy on campaigning against someone whose appointee – Prof. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng’s report, exposes him of his massive involvement in galamsey, someone destroying our forest reserves and water bodies to satisfy his parochial interest to the detriment of the entire nation be considered a serious candidate to waste much energy on ?

Lastly, someone who promised trainee teachers jobs and a reason for reinstalling the teachers and nursing trainee allowances. It is regrettable to note that, there is a backlog of over nine months yet to be paid. As we speak, there is a backlog of over 4 years graduate allied and other health professionals yet to be posted under the watch of the “economic messiah”.

It is for these and other reasons why we in the NDC will not waste time campaigning should the NPP delegates elect Dr. Bawumia as their next flagbearer for the 2024 general elections.
