Mahama is better than Bawumia – Martin Kpebu

Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has chosen former president John Dramani Mahama ahead of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in terms of who will be better at the helm of the presidency.

Mr Mahama served as President from 2012 to 2017 while Dr Bawumia has served as Vice President since 2017.

“Mahama is better than Bawumia,” Mr Kpebu stressed.

He gave this verdict on The Keypoints on TV3/3FM on Saturday, April 15 while discussing the current economic hardship and the management prowess of the current government and the past government led by Mr Mahama.

Lawyer Kpebu said while some of the conditions that affected the economy under Mr Mahama were not intentionally created, the current conditions have been created intentionally and masterminded by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his cousin Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

“And Bawumia is part of the Akufo-Addo government,” he insisted.

Mr Mahama and Dr Bawumia are the likely candidates to lock horns in 2024 as their parties go to the primaries this year to elect presidential candidates.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is, on Saturday, May 13, likely to elect its former leader as he leads in polls as against his contenders Dr Kwabena Duffuor and Kojo Bonsu.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), which will elect its flagbearer in November, has the Vice President getting wide support from the rank and file.

The 2024 elections will, therefore, likely to pitch the two against each other.
