Pro-NPP Man Who Worked Against The NDC In 2020 Files To Contest For NDC Madina Seat

The NDC will be shooting itself in the foot as far as the 2024 general election is concerned if it okays an aspirant for its Madina seat after verifiable documents the ‘Daily Post’ has laid hands on indicate he is an NPP mole.

His name is Prince Moses Zakaria. It has been revealed he is the former General Secretary of the United Front Party (UFP). The party sacked him from this position in 2020 ahead of the election in December that year after it was discovered that while the party had officially decided to support the NDC, he was supporting the NPP, using his position to leak information to them.

A letter sighted by this paper written by Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng,, a.k.a. Dzata Ba, Founder of the UFP on March 23, 2023 and addressed to The Chairman of the Vetting Committee of the NDC in Madina which will be vetting him this Monday said in part “…Prince Moses Zakaria…is still a card bearing member of our party”.

The letter goes on to state that ” What is most shocking is the fact that until December 2019, the said Prince Moses Zakaria was our General Secretary who led serious anti-NDC campaigns. In fact, in the run-up to the 2020 election, he was removed from office on the grounds of dishonesty, disloyalty and his dubious dealings with the NPP which the party saw as an anti-party conduct”

The letter went on to state that ” We can also confirm that after his removal from office, though he remained a member of our party, he continued with his anti-party conduct by flirting with the NPP and fully supported the NPP in the 2020 general election contrary to our party’s stance at the time which was to support the opposition NDC”

The letter is copied to the National Chairman, General Secretary and Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC.

At a press conference just two days ago, March 29, 2023, the UFP raisd the issue of Price Moses Zakaria’s decision to contest for the NDC Madina seat, cautioning the NDC “…not to entertain person such as Mr. Prince Moses Zakaria…Such character and conduct from an individual who in our books remains a member of our party gives cause for concern and leads to situations of party disloyalty, part of which is being witnessed with the current challenges of the Minority Group in parliament.

The NDC must not allow or tolerate such individuals… As a party, we have officially petitioned the NDC in respect of this matter and are available to provide further evidence if need be”
Interestingly, in another document sighted by this paper, the current Speaker of parliament described Prince Moses Zakaria as a “dubious character”.

The Rt. Hon Bagbin made these comments in a response to a letter enquiring from him if Prince Moses Zakaria was his Media Coordinator between 2004 and 2007 when he was Minority as he (Prince) was claiming.

“No such position existed in the Office of the Minority Leader when I was in that office between 2001 and 2009. There was a dubious character by name Mr. Zakaria hovering around parl at that time. When my attention was drawn to him, I instructed the Marshall not to entertain him in the precincts of parl.”

Further information revealed he was active on facebook in the run up to the 2016 election and actually took to his facebook page to welcome the defeat of the NDC. His posts, prior to the election, were constant attacks on the NDC government and officials.

Interestingly, he has gone to delete many of his posts on facebook but unfortunately for him, some persons within the NDC who were suspicious of him had gone ahead of him and copied down some of his critical post of the NDC.

In one of his posts soon after the NDC lost the 2016 election, he wrote; ” Finally, the needed change is here, thanks to Almighty Allah”

In spite of all these variable facts about him, he is being courted and supported by some persons in the Madina Constituency even inspite of the fact that he has not been a member of the party for four years and therefore is not qualified to contest for the PC position. Worse still is the fact that verifiable evidence available shows his name was not in the party’s register.

His name got in after one Samuel Tettey who was an Executive of the Otinibi branch of the party had his name removed from the party’s register and replaced with that of Prince. Alterations and indelible ink marks on the registration card where his name is written proves another name had been erased to make way for his.
