Some Branch executives in Techiman South assisted Dr Bayere with 20, 000gh cedis to file for the upcoming NDC parliamentary elections

Some NDC Branch executives in Techiman south constituency in the Bono East Region have assisted Dr. Christopher Basongti Bayere 20,000gh cedis to filed for the upcoming NDC parliamentary and presidential elections which is slated to held on May 13, 2023 across the country to get elect their flagbearer and parliamentary candidates.

The Director of elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Techiman south Constituency Mr. Eric Pienaa has admonished members of the party to forge ahead in unity in a bid to win the 2024 elections.

Dr. Christopher Basongti Bayere who was the parliamentary candidate for NDC in the 2020 general was defeated by the NPP candidate Hon Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah and it was characterize with violence’s at the collation center.

Mr. Eric Pienaa was speaking to the supporters to the Parliamentary aspirant for Techiman south constituency, Dr. Christopher Basongti Bayere at the constituency party office Monday when the Twemia Nkanta Branch chairman Mr. Stephen Yeboah represent him to files (submitted) his nomination forms to contest Parliamentary primaries.

According to the elections director, four persons have picked forms to contest for Techiman south seat and they are all qualified to represent the party come 2024 general elections, and he hinted that NDC can win and retain Techiman south Parliamentary seat if only when there is unity among themselves.
He lamented that most of the party supporters have developed a habit of insulting each other’s on social media platforms which cannot bring peace and unity and he therefore appealed to them to desist from such behavior.

Mr. Eric Pienaa has assured them again that, no single name of the executives shall be removed from their register as it has been a rumour that they have deleted some names from their register.

Speaking to the media after filling, Mr Stephen Yeboah Who submitted the forms on behalf of Dr. Christopher Bayere and he was accompanied by hundreds of party supporters in Techiman south and he urged called Dr Bayere supporters to preach peace and unity in the party.

According to him this is internal elections and therefore there is no need to insult each other to support each other to win power.

He said the 2020 election have though a big lesson and the only thing that can help NDC in Techiman south constituency is unity and campaign devoid of insult.

Finally some supporters of Dr. Christopher Bayere also commended him for his good work and they said he is the only person who have the love of the grassroots of the party and he can win the seat just once because 2020, he won the seat but due to some forces the seat was declared to the NPP candidate.

They promised to do clean and transparent campaign throughout and they know Bayere is the best man for the job.
