Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Professor Joshua Alabi has told members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to expect a first-round victory in the 2024 general elections.
He intimated that the leadership of the NDC has taken steps to ensure that the party wins the election convincingly.
Addressing a group of NDC supporters on Tuesday, March 21 after filing the nomination forms on behalf of former President John Dramani Mahama at the party’s headquarters to enable him to contest in the flagbearer election, Prof Alabi indicated that Mr Mahama who is campaigning to be the flagbearer of the NDC and his team will work with all the organs of the NDC if he wins the internal polls to become the flagbearer.
By working with all the organs of the party, he said, victory will be on the side of the NDC.
“We assure you that NDC will win hands down, we are not only going to win hands down but by 1AM we will be sure of our results.
“We are going to work with all the organs to make sure that the next election we give the party one-touch victory,” he said.
