The Ghana Railway Development Authority (GRDA) says it needs over $30 billion to develop the railway network in the country.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the authority, Yaw Owusu, speaking in an interview on Peace FM’s morning show ‘Kokrokoo’ said the train system needs to be prioritised if government wants the country to develop.
“Rome was not built in a day. It’s government’s intention to embark on such a project and so we are still working on it. If we want to develop as a country especially in our transport system, we need to develop our train system,” he said.
