Sefwi Anhwiaso Gets Dwantuahene And Also Installed As Ankra-Muano Chief

Mr. Isaac Mpae, the School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) in Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Education Office, has been installed as the new Dwantuahene of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area and also the chief of Sefwi Ankra-Muano near Sefwi Anhwiaso in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region with traditional name Nana Kofi Ankrah IV.

The new chief succeed his senior brother Nana Kofi Ankrah III who destooled by Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II on 2018.

Nana Kofi Ankrah IV swore oath of allegiance to Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, the Omanhene of Anhwiaso Traditional Area.

Nana Kofi Ankrah IV in an address to the gathering, including chiefs, queen mothers, elders of the community, members of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipal Assembly and the members of Agona family of the new chief, called for peace and mutual understanding among the chiefs and the people for progress in the traditional area especially his community.

Nana Kofi Ankrah IV showed appreciation to the Paramount Chief of Anhwiaso Traditional Area, President of the National House of Chiefs and the President of the Western North Regional House of Chiefs Nana Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, for installing him as Sefwi Ankra-Muano.

The newly installed chief hinted that he has planned to serve and to help Anhwiaso Traditional Area.

Nana Kofi Ankrah IV expressed gratitude to the chiefs and elders of Sefwi Ankra-Muano for ensuring sanity and orderliness in the town.

In addition, an interview with Daily Searchlight Newspaper, Nana Kofi Ankrah IV, said the people of the town should forge ahead in unity and order to develop the town.

He urged the people of the area to join forces together with him to seek the development of their community.

He said that it is needful for Sefwi Ankra-Muano to develop like it’s surrounding towns.

“We must also get somewhere with development. As it stands, it looks like we are the only town that lacks progress as far as developmental projects are concerned and we must together champion an agenda to grow our town to be like the others”, he said.

Nana Kofi Ankrah IV said “it is unfortunate that our own people who have reached the top hardly come to our aid because even out there, people from Sefwi Ankra-Muano are shy to disclose they come from here. I am urging us all to be proud of our town and come together to help build it well.”

The new chief appealing to parents to attach great importance to the education of their children instead of allowing them to go wayward.

He also cautioned against forcing children into illegal mining popularly known as”Galamsey” and promised to liaise with government officials to bring development to the town.

He promised also to boots the Education Fund in the area to enable many brilliant and needy students to get access to quality education.
