Incumbent MP for Jaman North, Hon Ahenkwa Frederick to go unopposed in the upcoming NDC primaries

The former Deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Secretary and the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Jaman North constituency, Hon Ahenkwa Yaw Frederick has been made to go unopposed by his party.

In a statement sighted by Masemtvgh.com, signed by both the constituency chairman and the chairman of the constituency council of elders affirmed fully declared him as their presumptive parliamentary candidate in the 2024 general elections.

The state indicated that after a stakeholder consultations, the party resolved to support the incumbent Member of Parliament to go unopposed in the upcoming parliamentary primaries scheduled for on Saturday, 13th May, 2023.

Hon Ahenkwa Yaw Frederick was the party’s parliamentary candidate in the 2016 general elections but was defeated until he came back in the 2020 general elections to defeat his incumbent opponent. This means that, Hon Ahenkwa Yaw Frederick will be on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress for the third consecutive times as their candidate.

Hon Ahenkwa Yaw Frederick to contest the NDC Jaman North Parliamentary Election unopposed

This comes to inform the NDC Jaman North and the entire Constituency on the aftermath of an all stakeholder engagement/meeting held on 10th February 2023 at Suma Ahenkro with respect to the upcoming Parliamentary primaries slated for February and March 2023.

Parties to this important meeting were:
The entire constituency Executive body,
All council of Elders,
All ward chairpersons,
All former government appointees,
Regional executives from the constituency.

Upon series of critical deliberations and sober reflection, the party concluded to have Hon. Ahenkwah
Yaw Frederick (incumbent Member of Parliament for Jaman North) return unopposed as the Parliamentary candidate for election 2024.

All stakeholders from the rank and file of the constituency have assented their signatures to this decision and pledged their utmost good faith to the decision.

The party recognizes the pool of potential aspirants within the party who have made their intentions known/unknown to take this decision in good faith and bring on board all expertise, resources and good counsel to foster unity and progress for a collective victory in 2024.

The constituency prides itself in the good works of the Hon. Member of Parliament and calls on all party faithfuls to support his second bid and have him represent the constituency once more.
