The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Suncity Radio, Mr. Ransford Antwi has lauded the decision by serial callers of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) to boycott radio discussions as regular callers for the party as a result of the government’s failure to help facilitate the completion of the Sunyani-New-Dormaa-Kotokrom-Yawhima-Techiman road.
According to Mr. Antwi, it is encouraging that the group has now decided to put the interest of their party aside to fight for the development of their community, this, he attributed to as sheer patriotism exhibited by the group.
“It is encouraging that people who are willing to go all out to defend their party have now decided to put party interest aside to fight for the development of their community”. He said this in an exclusive interview with the host of Suncity Morning Drive, Mark Abisah.
Mr. Antwi disclosed that, despite his political affiliation, being one of the first communicators of NPP in the late 90s, his desire is to see Sunyani developed remains non-negotiable. He therefore, sides with anyone who has the interest of Bono Region particularly the Sunyani Municipality at heart.
He encouraged the group to be firm and stand by their decision and fight fearlessly for the good of Sunyani and the Bono Region.
Mr. Antwi further called on all and sundry to come together and fight for the development of Sunyani since the Municipality is lagging behind in terms of infrastructural development.
Ransford Antwi was the convenor of the Sunyani Deserves Better Demonstration which saw hundreds of people coming out to demand for infrastructural development in the Bono Region for the first time in the history of the region.
