Koku Anyidoho, a formal deputy General Secretary to the National Democratic Congress ( NDC) had praised the the party for scheduling to hold both it’s Presidential and Parliamentary Primaries for the 2024 general election on same day.
The former deputy General Secretary believes that the decision by the party will stop situations where presidential candidates choose their preferred candidates in instances where the presidential candidates are elected first.
As captured in a post shared on twitter on Thursday, 19th of January 2023, the former Deputy General Secretary said the decision will make it possible for those who wants to contest the Presidential rave are not restricted.
“Smart move: Parliamentary & President primaries on the same day to ensure nobody emerges Flagbearer early, and use any narcissist agenda to influence the parliamentary primaries. It also means the infantile noise about not having a contest for the Flagbearer is hogwash,” parts of the tweet indicates.
