After colliding head-on with another vehicle in the Central Region’s vicinity of Gomoa Potin, a truck driver and his aide died from burn injuries.
After the crash, the truck started to burn.
Two further victims of the head-on incident who were riding in a sedan have been transported to the Winneba Hospital for medical attention.
They were traveling on the Accra-Cape Coast highway in a Hyundai Elantra car.
According to eyewitness reports, the Hyundai Elantra automobile struck two trucks while passing other cars.
One of the vehicles went off the road and caught fire.
The truck’s driver and his assistant were locked inside, and they were completely burned to death.
The fire was extinguished by Winneba firefighters who responded to the distress call.
The burned bodies had not yet been removed from the scene as of Sunday noon.
