Young Ghanaian politician Stephen Akurugu, also known as Original Abronye, has urged President Akufo Addo to urgently address requests for the recovery of Ghana’s economy instead of moving on with plans to construct the national cathedral.
In an interview with Mark Asante of Nkonenews.com, he bemoaned the rising expense of necessities.
He claims that Ghana’s economic woes are to blame for the misery of its citizens. “Neither President Akufo Addo nor his Vice, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who also serves as the head of the Economic Management Team, have taken any positive action.
He stated that while “everyone is weeping about the increasing economic difficulties,” President Akufo Addo is “well Committed” to constructing an unneeded national cathedral at a time when the majority of people are suffering.
