He has therefore pleaded with stakeholders, NGOs and other philanthropists to come to their aid in ensuring the construction of a new school block for them denoting that the death trap nature of the school has compelled most pupils within the Yaw Twenekrom community to abandon the school for different school which has highly drained their enrollment.

Mr. George Ankamah who is the chairman of the School Management Committee revealed that he has tried several avenues to see the construction of a better structure for the school but all his efforts have proven futile.

He noted that there has been a continuous change of government, with him consistently lodging complaints to the necessary authorities to ensure the improvement in the school building but all efforts yielded no results stressing that Yaw Twenekron is the only community within the Jaman North district with the poorest ever school building which has highly affected education hence government must intervene to help them get new and modernize school building for effective teaching and learning.

The Assembly member for Asantekrom/Yaw Twenekrom electoral Area, Honourable Takyi David revealed that the school is highly dilapidated with bamboo being used for its construction where snakes and other dangerous organisms always distract the learning processes indicating that a lot of proposals have been sent to several NGOs with no positive response.

He added that he has made efforts to the DCE on several occasions with no positive response stressing that the teachers in the said school are working with commitment because all indicators and facilities in the school signify that without commitment and loyalty, no one will accept to teach under such a poor condition.

He has pleaded with the government to construct a better school facility for his electorates to ensure a better future and effective teaching and learning.

Some of the pupils shared their ordeal with newsmen indicating that the nature of the school has highly affected their academic performance hence they need government intervention.
