Ghana, has for the past years being embattled with severe economic crisis due to reckless management of the economy.
The recent fall of the Ghanaian currency, the Cedi, against major trade currencies has raised concerns about the competence of the finance minister, who is the direct cousin of President Nana Akufo-Addo and has led to call from both the majority and minority for his resignation.
The minority leader,Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, in his media engagement said we will move a motion for vote of censure to relief the finance minister of his post on Thursday, November 10,2022.
Meanwhile, a leading member member of the majority caucus, and member of Parliament for Asante-Akyim North, Hon. Andy Appiah-Kubi, who is the leader of the majority caucus spearheading the call for the removal for the finance minister, Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has alleged that a business man attempted to bribe to let sleeping dogs lie and allow the finance minister remain at his post but they vehemently rejected his over and chase him away.
Intelligence gathered by the MASEMTVGH, claims that, some members of parliament will be bribed to be absent from parliament on Thursday, the day the said motion will be moved.
“I therefore urge all Ghanaians to check on both sides of the house, any MP who absent him/herself from parliament, either with reasons of being out of the country or sick or whatever reason, has taken his share of the bribe and must be chased and voted against by his constituents.
