The World Bank has sent a strong message to Ghana’s Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta given him 30days to produce the audit report on the “Ghana Accountability for Learning Outcomes Projects (GALOP) or faces legal action.
The letter dated October 21, 2022 addressed to the Finance Minister said per the financing agreement dated January 17, 2020, the minister is required to submit an audit account on how the money was spent with 6months. However, as of October 18, 2022, the country had not submitted the audited report as required by the agreement.
The Briton Wood Institute member is alarmed as to why the minister failed to comply with the agreement to the extent that there have been delayed for over 4months.
