Yes KK Sarpong deserves the Paramountcy – Otumfour fumes

The overload of the Ashanti kingdom Otumfour Osei Tutu the ll, has stated that the former GNPC boss Dr.Kofi Kodua Sarpong deserves and qualify to be the Paramount chief of the Offinso traditional area.

The Asante monarch noted that he has no qualms with Dr K K Sarpong but the Ashirem Abusuapanin does not fit to lead the process. According to Otumfour ,the Abusuapanin of Ashirem royal family (Atta kwabena ) who lead the plea (dwantoa) of the people to the Omanhemaa does not qualify to do so after a curse placed on his great grandmother ( ).

Otumfour questioned the Abusuapanin why he lead the plea when he knew the issue at stake. He fumed at the offinso kingmakers for accepting a plea from an ill fated during Asanteman council meeting.

“I have canceled the previous selection and nomination for a fresh process” The opportunity has been given to the Omanhemaa Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko to ensure the rightful nomination process with his kingmakers if Dr. Kofi Kodua is still their preferred candidate for the stool.
