KK Sarpong is a royal but follow the due process – Otumfour urges Offinso Kingmakers

The Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu ll has urged traditional authorities of Offinso traditional area to as a matter of urgency follow the exact procedures for the selection and nomination of the next Paramount chief of the area.

“I know you all want Dr. Kk Sarpong to be the Paramount chief but the right process must be followed ” The Asantehene made this thursday 20th October 2022 during Asanteman council meeting to determine whether or not the nominee Dr.Kofi Kodua Sarpong by the Kingmakers of Offinso led by the Queen mother Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko is a true Royal and qualifies to succeed the late Offinsomanhene Nana Waife Akenten lll.

The Asantehene after a report by a 5 member committee noted that, the royal history by the Ashirem family head (Abusuapani) indicates a curse placed on them which the said family cannot be granted to mount the paramountcy. He indicated that until the curse is reversed, the nominee cannot be a chief as expected.

He has finally adjourned the next sitting to Monday 24th October 2022 for the due process to be followed.

In view of this all the ten royal members who sent their drink to the abusuapanin is nolified to start a new process.
