Ghana Annual Inflation at 37.2% as Data Compilation Is Changed

Ghana’s inflation rate was 37.2% in September, the nation’s statistics agency said, as it announced changes to the way it calculates the data.

The agency has updated the reference year to 2021, from 2018, and will update historical statistics, Government Statistician Samuel Kobina Annim told reporters Wednesday in the capital, Accra. It’s also increased the number of regions that data is collected from, he said.
