Hon Yaw Gyarko MCE For Techiman Municipal Assembly Continue His Tour Of The Municipality

In his continuous effort to build a deeper, stronger and trusting relationship between the Assembly and the communities in the Municipality, the MCE, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko yesterday, 27th September, 2022 embarked on community visitation.
Joined in the visit were some Technical Officers of the Assembly, the N.P.P Constituency Chairman, Mr. Muniru Tanko and his Executives and the Assembly Member for the Electoral area Hon. Kasim Adams.

The communities included, Nsonkodee, Dentekrom, Nsunya, Adieso, Twimia and Koase.

Addressing the Chiefs and residents in these communities, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko explained that, the purpose of his visit was to listen to the concerns of residents and also for him to get first hand information in these communities for the purposes of the Assembly’s programs and plans.

 

Deplorable roads, unavailability of Health Care Centres and electricity were the key issues raised by the Chiefs and their subjects in the communities.

The Odikro of Adieso, Nana Kwadwo Yeboa Asuama and Dentekrom, Nana Kwaku Ntri expressed their appreciation to the MP, Techiman South, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah for making their road motorable due a reshaping which was carried out recently by him.

Addressing the Chiefs and the people at Twimia and Koase separately, the MCE assured them that the Nkwanta through to Koase to Twimia road project has not been abandoned. He said the Assembly and the MP, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah in particular have established contact with the Contractor, A-B Ziko Limited to get back to site.
He admitted to the inconvenience that the construction has caused to residents and drivers due to the slow pace at which the work is progressing but pleaded with them to exercise patience.
