The Ministry of Roads and Highways says it has instituted adequate strategies to effectively maintain the country’s road network.
According to the Ministry, the move is to increase the number of roads in good conditions nationwide.
“Government through the Ministry of Roads and Highways has developed a unique strategy for road sector nationwide. This is to increase the percentage of roads in conditions by undertaking various periodic maintenance activities”, says sector Minster, Kwasi Amoako-Attah.
He was speaking at the commissioning of a 22 km Cape Coast inner city road project.
Mr. Amoako-Attah noted that the maintenance measures include asphalt overlay, re-ceiling works, gravelling among others.
