The Techiman Municipal Assembly has been allocated an amount of Gh 1,164,502.00 as District Responsiveness Factor Grant.
This was disclosed by the MCE, Hon. Benjamin Yaw Gyarko during his Sessional Address at the Assembly’s General Meeting on Wednesday, 24th August 2022.
He informed the House that, per the guidelines of the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, about ninety- five(95.33) percent of the amount is for investment projects whilst 4.67% is set aside for capacity development of staff.
He mentioned that, following the Assembly’s Action Plan and Budget for 2022, the Assembly shall undertake two major projects with the money namely, the construction of two-(2) storey 6-unit classroom block with office, store, library, staff common room and 6-seater flush toilet for Aduana Model School at Wiawoso , Techiman and Construction of traffic light at Ahmadiyya road to Holy Family Hospital road intersection.
He said advertisement has been made in the Ghanaian Tines newspaper and on the website of Public Procurement Authority to invite eligible Tenderers to award the contracts for the projects to commence.
