Don’t Celebrate, I Have Won Twice And I Am Going To Win Again – Akufo-Addo Warns NDC

Due to the nation’s current economic challenges, some opponents have begun to rejoice, according to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. He emphasized that some of these opponents, particularly those within the National Democratic Congress (NDC), believe that the government is powerless to help the nation out of its current predicament.

The President, however, noted that this is comparable to how those same individuals wrote him off before he was elected president in 2016 and re-elected in 2020. In an interview with Nandom FM on August 22, he stated, “I know that there are people, especially the National Democratic Congress, who have begun to celebrate already because of the difficulties of the country.”

“A summer is not made up of one swallow. Inform them. They should not think twice. Throughout my entire political career, they have been writing me off. I would never succeed. I failed to succeed. I have won twice, and in December 2024, I will win one more for the party.

During a business visit to the Upper West Region, President Akufo-Addo expressed his desire to ensure that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will take over as the nation’s government in 2025.

He consequently promised to do everything in his power to help the party’s leadership achieve this, including helping to lead the nation out of the economic crisis. He wants the NPP to be able to emerge unhurt from its presidential primary.

“Let us set the stage for a fair, open process that will allow us to come together after the competition. We want someone to emerge from that process with the ability to bring our party together, put it in a position to face its historical rival, the National Democratic Congress, and defeat it in December 2024.

What do you think? Is the NPP has too high of expectations for victory?
