The leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has written to the Minister of Trade and Industry Alan Kyerematen following the health walk organized in his name as part of moves to be elected as flagbearer of the party for the 2024 general elections.
The party said it has taken steps to ensure that the laid down rules and regulation outlined are not violated.
A statement issued by the General of the NPP, Justin Frimpong Kodua on Wednesday August 17 said “Under the instruction of the steering committee Mr Alan Kyerematen has been written to in respect of of the ‘Adru Woso’ Health walk that was organized in his name.”
On 13th August the streets of Kumasi saw hundreds of persons taking part in a health walk to send a message to Mr Kyerematen that ‘Aduru ne so’ which translates as, it is your turn.
Mr. Kyerematen himself has not officially declared his interest in contesting the NPP Flagbeararship race.
Organizers of the walk intend to replicate it in other parts of the country.
