In making and drawing election strategies, one group of people who must not be left out is the youth. The demographics of Ghana display Ghana as having a very youthful population. Meaning that a vast majority of the populace consists of exuberant youth. And these groups of people in their prime can be found in various tertiary institutions.
Capitalizing on this knowledge, the two major political parties in this country have formed TESCON and TEIN groups to mobilize their members in these various institutions. It came as no shock when Mahama and some NDC bigwigs stormed a meeting with TEIN members in their numbers.
The NDC youth wing organized a two day Bootcamp for the Southern zone of TEIN. And in finalizing the two-day program, his Excellency The Former President, John Dramani Mahama, stormed the workshop. He was joined by the National Chairman of the Party, Dr. Samel Ampofo, the General Secretary of the Party, Honorable Asiedu Nketsia, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker, the Member of Parliament for the Ellembele constituency, Honorable Emmanuel Buah and the Former Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani.
The intent behind the organization of that two-day’s Bootcamp was to equip the participant with the required training to revamp the TEIN group and its position as the best student group in the country. Truth be told, the Former President was received very well by the student and this has sent some shivers along the spine of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
Actually, the growing population who have witnessed the works of both Mahama and Nana Addo have regretted voting for the latter. This was expressed in the massive reduction in the votes of Nana Addo and the massive gain of votes in the recent 2020 elections. And as each day pass by, Mahama gradually receives some generous votes since each day now is characterized by more scandals and problems. Now, the target is the youth.
