Legitimate and propaganda comments being made against govt; learn to segregate the two – Jinapor

Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Junior has appealed to Ghanaians to differentiate between the genuine comments being made regarding the hardships in the country, from the propaganda.

He admitted that some of the concerns raised due to the hardships are real but the challenges are mainly imported. Inasmuch as genuine concerns are being raised, others are also skewing reports and twisting facts against the government.

The Damongo lawmaker indicated that the government has plans in place to lift Ghanaians from the mire.

Speaking at a forum held by the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) branch of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), student wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Jinapor said “at the I know there is a lot of talk in the public discourse in our country about NPP, about government, about hardships. A lot of them are legitimate, some are propaganda. Always learn to segregate them, the propaganda and the legitimate talk.

“Inflation is an issue everywhere in the world so when the government says that the challenges of today are imported it is not that we are making excuses, it is a fact.

“President Akufo-Addo and his government, I have a privilege to have a seat around the cabinet table, we have a programme to bring this country out if its current difficulties.

“President Akufo-Addo has a programme to make sure, in the short to medium term, the difficulties the world is going through, Ghana gets out of it to get our economic back on track, to be able to ensure that the cost of living is bearable to the Ghanaian people.”
