Cook for your children before they come – School Feeding caterers tell guardians as they withdraw services

Caterers on the Ghana School Feeding Programme are urging parents to start packaging food for their children who are beneficiaries of the intervention before they come to school.

This is because they have resolved to discontinue preparation of meals for the children until their grievances are addressed.

Speaking to Adom News on Monday evening monitored by Honestynewgh, the Co-Ordinator for the caterers, Juliana Codjoe said they want the Ghana School Feeding Secretariat to increase the 90 pesewas allocation for each child to 3 cedis.

However, the meeting they held with the Secretariat on Monday did not yield any better outcome hence their decision not to continue cooking for the children still stands.

Madam Juliana Codjoe also added that the GSFP owes some members outstanding payments to caterers with no assurance of when payment would be made.
