The former mayor for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly and an aspiring candidate for the flagbearership position of the opposition National Democratic Congress, is set to organize a ‘get to gether’ party for the market women at Kejetia.

The party is scheduled for Monday, April 18, which is also a public holiday.

According to the NDC flagbearer hopeful, Hon Kojo Bonsu indicated that the Easter Party for the market women at Kejetia is to deepen his relationship with them as well as to acknowledge them for their support during his recent courtesy call on the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Otumfoɔ Osei Tutu.

”In my recent call on His Majesty Otumfoɔ Osei Tutu at Manhyia to disclose my intention to him to contest in the upcoming flagbearership race, i overwhelmingly enjoyed the unflinching support and company of these market women, who thronged into Manhyia to openly and willingly throw their support for me for the flagbearership race” Hon Kojo Bonsu stated.

Sources within the organizers for this awesome event indicated that over one thousand five hundred market women are expected to be at the program.

”The party is organized for all the market women at Kejetia who continue to offer their support and believe in the qualities of Hon Kojo Bonsu as the best person to turn the electoral fortunes of the opposition National Democratic Congress going into the 2024 General Election” he said.
