A bench warrant has been issued by a Bekwai Circuit court for the arrest of four NPP members from the Fomena constituency.
The four were accused of taking part in the March 7 riot in which the Fomena NPP party office was repainted in NDC colors.
On Thursday, April 14, His Honour Mark Diboro Tairimah, Presiding Judge of the Bekwai Circuit Court, granted a warrant for the arrest of Isaac Agyei, Gilbert oppong Akwasi, Michael Ankapong, and Splash Yeboah.
Some disgruntled NPP supporters in the Fomena Constituency painted their Constituency party office in NDC colors and hung posters of former President John Dramani Mahama.
The group believes the party’s leadership is attempting to impose the party’s Second Deputy Speaker Andrew Amoako Asiamah, an independent lawmaker who left the party in 2020.
As a result, they’re angry.
