Little taxes add up to a powerful nation; the e-levy will bring huge development — Finance Ministry

The Ministry of Finance is hopeful that the e-levy would help the country flourish.

According to the Ministry, the policy will help Ghana become a great country.

“Small tax drops add up to a powerful nation.” On Monday, April 11, the Ministry tweeted, “The E-levy will bring the huge progress we all want as a country.”

In May of this year, the Policy will be fully implemented.

The Controller and Accountant General (CAGD) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), who will be the revenue collectors, have given the Finance Minister Ken Ofori Atta that assurance.

“We had some meetings with the Controller and Accountant Generals Department (CAGD) and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), and they said they should be able to put their system together right at the beginning of May,” he told TV3’s Roland Walker in Parliament after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo delivered the State of the Nation Address on March 30.

The e-levy was passed by a one-seed Parliament on Tuesday March 29 afyter the Minority walked out.
