John Mahama attends the funeral of the late paramount chief of the La State

H.E. the Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama today attended the final funeral rites of the late Paramount Chief of the La State, Nii Dr. Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III held at La in Accra.

Accompanying the former President were the NDC Running Mate for the 2020 elections, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, the General Secretary of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the former. Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, the former MP for La Dadekotopon and former CEO of the NHIA, Hon. Sylvester Mensah, the Chairman for the Greater Accra Parliamentary Caucus and MP for Ododiodiodoo, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye and the Chairman of the Greater Accra Council of Elders and Former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Danny Annan.

Also present were the sitting MP for La Dadekotopon, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, some NDC MPs in the Greater Accra Region, the Greater Accra Regional Executives of the NDC and some strong party faithfuls.

As usual, the former president eulogised the late Nii Tsuru. He described him as a statesman with unique quality template worthy of emulation by our generation and generations yet unborn.

Before his demise, the late Nii Tsuru reigned for thirty one(31)years as the paramount Chief of the La State with impeccable traditional values.

After observing all the traditional rites and protocols associated with the occasion, the former President exchanged words of consolation with the family. “He will always be part of our history and will always be remembered”, HE John Mahama affirmed.

May his soul rest in peace!
